Gotta say it again, 1) this is a big improvement on the previous map and 2) the root problem here is not gerrymandering, but that Ohio is now Trump +8. At some point the crying foul over rule changes becomes an excuse for political malpractice.
There's a popular political fantasy where the whole country is socialism +25 but a combination of voter suppression, gerrymandering, Facebook and nonvoters being easily discouraged by centrist policies denies us our rightful big tent majority. Meanwhile we've lost Iowa and Ohio
We need to ask questions like, why has the Florida state house denied its own citizens health care for years, and continue to grow its majority? How is a Democratic senate candidate in Maine not even competitive in 2020? The political crisis is real and deserves greater attention
